The Presbytere or Ecclesiastical House was designed to match the Cabildo on the supriver side of the St. Louis Cathedral.  Built in 1791, it has been used over time for commercial purposes until it became part of the Louisiana State Museum.  It houses an permanent exhibit relating to Mardi Gras.
